speed boost when holding ancient leggings without wearing

I hold ancient leggings without actually wear it , and it gives speed boost

Can confirm; and it is the same issue with any armor from any mod that has speed boost. Noticed it only today. You can hold any armor piece with speed boost/decrease and it will change your speed. Don't remember it before in 1.7.10, although I play it for 7 years or more.
