In this section the following statement is made:

The following error-code values are allowed.

The use of "allowed" implies that other values are not allowed, but there is no MUST requirement associated with the list of values.

Recommendation: determine if the error-code values are a fixed set, and if so, add a requirement indicating that the error-code value MUST be from the set of 1, 2, or 3.

Reviewed per June 24th Meeting:

  • Except for error Authentication #1, the error codes are informative and the conditions are not easily testable.
  • There is general agreement that error code Authentication #1 be a MUST requirement and that that will require a new spec versions.
  • The set of error codes should made a MUST requirement .
  • Additional codes could be considered the new spec version
