This Contributor License Agreement ("Agreement") applies to all contributions submitted to the NSS project repository.
- "Project" means NSS and its source repository.
- "Contribution" means any source code, documentation, tests, configuration, design, or other material intentionally submitted to the Project.
- "You" means the individual or legal entity submitting a Contribution.
- "Maintainer" means the Project owner and authorized maintainers.
You retain ownership of your Contributions.
You grant the Maintainer a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, distribute, sublicense, and relicense your Contributions as part of the Project, including under:
- AGPL-3.0-or-later (open-source distribution), and
- commercial/proprietary licenses for enterprise distribution.
You grant the Maintainer and downstream recipients a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable patent license to make, have made, use, sell, offer to sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Contribution as part of the Project.
If you initiate patent litigation claiming that the Project or a Contribution infringes a patent, your patent license for that Contribution terminates as of the filing date.
You represent that:
- You have the legal right to submit the Contribution.
- The Contribution is your original work, or you have sufficient rights to submit it under this Agreement.
- To the best of your knowledge, the Contribution does not intentionally include third-party material that cannot be redistributed under the Project's licensing model.
You accept this Agreement by submitting a pull request, commit, patch, or any other Contribution to the Project.
For traceability, include a sign-off line in commits where possible:
