Sea Slug Lay Eggs Broken?

The sea slug model or texture files seem to be broken or implemented incorrectly, since when I spawn sea slug eggs, they are completely invisible, and never hatch, no matter how long I wait. Is there a quick fix for this, could anyone help me out?
